About Amici's
The Town of Richfield (originally Laubenheimer) was founded by Philip Laubenheimer who arrived in America from Hesse-Darmstadt Germany in 1843 with his wife and seven children. He was the first German to operate a store and inn in Washington County.
The brick building which now houses Amici's Italian Restorante was built in 1904 by William Laubenheimer, son of Philip, and was occupied in November, 1904 by Frey & Uber, dealers in general merchandise and grain. Men and teams of horses were used to haul sand and stone for the building. Minztlaff Bros. contracted to do the mason work and F. Klippel Sr. had the carpentry contract. It took nearly eleven months to construct the building.
Amici's amenities include Banquet Facilities, Fish Fry, Gift Certificates,
Handicap Access,
Full Bar, Reservations Accepted,
Smoke Free Dining, Take-Out and Catering.
